Wanted Moussa and Oso since last offseason. Should have signed Moussa and JRE when available. Don't think they help much with Embiid though. Al and grant are done. Sharpe or Claxton we could have added
I like oso. He comes with his own limitations, but he might be better in our system than Garza was. I also think aday Mara having a draft slide would be ideal
While I did read the article, I'm afraid I'm not ready to move on. Despite the playoff implosion, I thought this was a magical season and enjoyed it thoroughly. Loved the guys and their effort. I think even Vuc could have more value in our system, but the broken finger interrupted his acclimation and limited his impact. If those are rose-colored glasses, so be it. I'll wear those and drink my green kool-aid.
I love everyone's optimism about Vuc but I think it's pretty simple he's 35 and wasn't a good defender in his prime. Anyone who watched this season and this last series can see that it wasn't just Embiid who had his way with him but Andre Drummond literally shoved him aside and dunked on him like he wasn't there, and Tyrese Maxey was treating him like one of those little orange cones you put out for footwork drills on the court.
I have a similar take as you on all of it, especially Vuc, but would welcome him back only at a much lower number. Too much risk it never clicks for him on the defensive side. I don’t even mean becoming a good individual defender, I mean just not being out of place in the system all the time.
Think the C's need to move Pritchard for Keyonte George, Kingston Flemings, or Darius Acuff. I love his heart but just a business decision
