Thanks, for this John! Unfortunately, my IT days are behind me, and my math sucks. But it's certainly worthwhile keeping up with the trends...My sole focus right now, though, is trying to make this newsletter work :)
Big problem with people (and corporations) these days is the obsession with mindless "progress". Try being consistently good at what you're good at rather that less and less effective at more and more things society says you should be doing.
I hope sticking to good principles a day at time will result in reasonable happiness.
I go back-and-forth with this, and the concept of progress. I think there does need to be a balance between focusing on the core skill and looking to improve -- for me, that's more honing in on the content (focus) and trying to grow the newsletter (progress). But overall, I do agree, the consistent strive to keep being better and better stops people from living in the moment
I am proud of you as a self-aware, reflective man. By sharing these thoughts you are a much needed role model/peer for other professional men who go through similar things. Even though we are in a new era, there is a drive for young men to go back to old stereotypes of manhood.
Human development and growth is not a straight line and you have given a good example of how we need to be in a down cycle in order to launch into the next phase. Your focus on the need to center ourselves on our values, which starts with family, self care, and pursing our passions, is exemplary.
Welcome to your next level of development. You are doing a great job.
That's always been my hope, Barry! In my day-to-day, I'm very stoic. But, for some reason, in written form, I always feel comfortable detailing struggles, etc. And hopefully, someone who needs it, can find some form of liberation to speak about their own struggles or take steps to getting the help or self-improvement they need
Adam - thanks to you and your family for all that you've done to make this work. I greatly admire your passion, tenacity, and vulnerability - especially for being a good husband and dad. Selfishly I hope you keep covering the Cs because you are absolutely remarkable at it.

This is great stuff, happy to be along for the ride, Adam!
Thanks, Tom! I'm greatful that you choose to rock with me, truly!

Thanks, Tim! Sorry for the slow reply, I unplugged over the weekend!
You're a day one over here, and I truly appreciate the continued support. I have no plans of stopping my coverage any time soon (or hopefully ever) :)
