I can't tell if Mazzula or the roster are to blame for the playoff drop-off. Granted, I'm not a coach, but the roster has a lot of overlapping skills in a way that doesn't give you versatility.
For example, all the players on the roster are under-qualified to be the primary playmaker. Tatum/Brown are close, but their flaws (turnovers for Brown, driving for Tatum, passing for both) are magnified come playoff time. Their offensive system disguises these flaws by spacing the floor to create more space in the lane, but that only works well against regular season defenses that aren't gameplanning for you.

For example, Brown is really at his best with the ball in his hands. But he's not the most efficient shooter or a great passer, which means his value off-ball is a lot less than his value on-ball.
The things Brown is good at sort of magnify Tatum's main flaw, which is driving to the hoop. That's not to say he's a bad driver by any means, but it's the thing that he struggles with most when defenses tighten up. Brown's shooting doesn't have the gravity to open driving lanes, and his passing can't really take advantage of Tatum's shooting either.
I am interested in the salary cap conversation that you responded to. I think that I am with you on this, in that, Brad will do the best that he can to get as close to winning a championship with the resources that he has.
With Brad's ability to get value, those two exceptions could make a huge difference along with development of the team. I am not going to get carried away like I did with this year's Miracle Celtics. But, I could see them winning a championship again in 27-28, especially if the exceptions work and then freed up salary cap the year after to rebuild the powerhouse. They could potentially ride that team for a few years before Brown and Tatum age out.
I’m personally 100% out on trading Pritchard. He’s the best bench guard in the NBA, makes zero sense.
As for Brown, he puts that penthouse up for sale every few years. The timing is suspicious, I’ll give you that! Would love Okongwu, but that deal might be underselling JBs value.
I love his heart and game but teams have figured him and Hauser out quick defensive switches and they struggle to get shots off, and are defensive liabilities, time to sell high and he could lead Sacramento, give them better luck than they have had at the position. Watch the film of Wagler, Flemings, Acuff, Mikel Brown bigger legit athletes that can guard Maxey. Would prefer Daniels and his D over Rissacher. Jalen Johnson is pretty close to Brown add the others and its an upgrade in multiple positions

Brown rumored to have put his Boston Penthouse up for sale? Its time. Sell high Jalen Johnson, Rissacher, Okongwu #8 pick swap
Pritchard to Sac for 7 pick. Kings can't draft and hold PG
Mara and Mikel Brown Acuff or Flemings?
Have to get quicker and more athletic, better attacking the rim
